In "Back Home", you will be the international student "Frances" who from China.
You need to follow her thoughts and consider her cultural situation to help her tell her parents the truth about her sexual performance. In this game, you can check the different characters' thoughts to collect more information to help you make the decision.
This is the key part of this game. It is not about win but understanding. The characters setting and the mechanic were inspired by Ruberg's, she points out in her article "Not gay as in Happy" that “identity, and culture in important new directions by prompting us to consider how queerness can be brought to games”(Ruberg).
Also, another important thing for this game is it provides a queer utopia world for the LGBTQ persons who do not come out to their families. "Games in all of their manifestations are a powerful place to imagine a queer utopia, not by simply imagining a better world but by giving players/makers/scholars/the tools for enacting new and better world"(Ruberg,8). I hope every LGBTQ player for this game can feel my game world's kindness and love.

Hi there. Thank you so much for your interest in my game. Unfortunately, this game did not have an accessibility option. It is a school project when I was a third-year college student. So the game system is not complete. I'm sorry for that but please let me know if I can do anything to help you.
